This is my ‘This Girl Can’ female artist playlist for some girl power motivation for my work outs.
For those of you that don’t know what This Girl Can is, check out this amazing campaign from Sport England :
Music is an important factor in keeping you working hard during a work out. There is a huge body of research  looking at the link between music and exercise and the general consensus is that music helps to keep you working harder in comparison to no music or music with a slow tempo.
A 2012 study from the university of Sheffield concluded that music has an effect on oxygen consumption during exercise (, while a study from Brunel University found that listening to music can increase your endurance by up to 15% (
